Livie wanted the memory of their Cornish engagement to be reflected on their cake, her special memory of the day Joe proposed was of the pretty pink flowers around them. After researching, I found out they were sea thrift which grows in abundance on the on the Cornish Coast, of course there were no tutorials to follow but I figured out how to make them in sugar and combined them with a section of other sugar flowers that were growing in the gardens around Rackley’s Barn where they got married.
